In Matthew 6 Jesus implores His followers not to worry. Not to worry about tomorrow, not to worry about their life. Not to worry about what they will eat or drink or what clothes they will wear. He says, “Consider how the lilies of the field grow: They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his glory was adorned like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?” (Matthew 6:28-30).
It is my prayer for everyone reading this that you will let your roots grow down deep in His perfect love (Ephesians 3:17-18), that you will stretch out and bask in the light of His presence, being refreshed by the washing of water by His Word (Ephesians 5:26), and simply rest and thrive as the Sonlight provides everything you need to live with faith like a lily.
